SOY SESAME CRUSTED SALMON BOWL
A simple yet flavorful salmon recipe with a sweet and savory soy sesame glaze and a crispy sesame crust. Served over jasmine rice with fresh vegetables, it’s an easy meal that’s perfect for any night of the week

SOY SESAME CRUSTED SALMON BOWL
Ingredients
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
- 6 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 tsp ginger,, grated
- 4 garlic cloves,, minced
- 1 lb salmon fillet
- sesame seeds
- broccoli florets,, sautéed
- carrots,, sautéed
- cucumber slices
- avocado
Method
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, ginger, and garlic.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry and place them in a shallow dish or ziplock bag.
- Pour 2-4 tbsp of the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Refrigerated for at least 15–30 minutes (or 2hrs to overnight for deeper flavor).
- Remove the salmon from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Coat with sesame seeds and sear in a pan over medium heat (sesame side down first) for 1–2 minutes.
- Transfer to a preheated oven and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes, or until cooked through.
- While the salmon cooks, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Serve salmon with jasmine rice, preferred toppings and sauce.
